![]() ![]() I was driving on Saturday, which gave me time to really listen to it – which I did twice straight through. ![]() I will share with my colleagues to brag on you and your band mates! I can get you on stage there in a heartbeat…. Now, where and when does the 2019 Timeslice tour start? You know I have an interest in a live music bar here in Houston. Many thanks for the tunes!! I listened to them in the office earlier – sounds great – congratulations on getting the album out. Or even worse, they’ll have become respectable. It’s a pity I won’t be able to share it with the people I partied with in my twenties. I’m looking forward to your next ‘oeuvre’. In spite of my ingrained Classical music background, your music completely grabbed me by the throat (and much lower down!). “Toast” especially brought back memories from my decadent past of love and loss…always loss. If “Old Blood…New Tears “ had been a book I would have said: “I couldn’t put it down.”Įven setting aside the great Saxophone playing everything on the whole CD delivered bells-full of nostalgia. Good vibes !! Loved the horns and fat song. I think it’s the second track where you sound like Ian Drury, (before he went mental!) I really think you should get out there – the Edinburgh Festival would be perfect, lots of Jazz / Music venues and you could make some dosh. A touch of Steely Dan, Santana and even Pink Floyd. On to album three….let’s see where the journey takes us…….Ĭool driving music and sexy lyrics. When these two worlds collide, stand back. They try to say what can’t be said any way other than through the emotions of the two worlds, music and lyrics. All the tracks on both albums are based on genuine experiences, some very personal and others more of an arresting observation. Album number two, “Old Blood New Tears” is finding a groove. The first album, “Time Stealer”, is testament to having more than one song, but it opens up the sluice gates. So now comes a chance meeting – isn’t that always the case? I meet a bass man who says “So you say you write songs? Well let’s do one.” We do one and it’s good. Travelling the world as a geoscientist he was always listening to the earth interpreting the sounds and creating stories about what might be lying just below our feet. He played guitar, wrote lyrics and participated in music making wherever and whenever the opportunity arose. Undeterred, secondary school beckoned and he responded by sailing through and going on to take two degrees. Once rehydrated and converted to normal honkey white, he went to school and was beaten up by a bunch of Catholic nuns who discovered he lied, aged 7, about going to church on a Sunday. Kevin Hime Knowles – Executive Producer and BassĪround 8 associates collaborate on the albums and these are:īorn in Lewisham with a vowel disorder, Jan Grzywacz arrived yellow and dehydrated and was nicknamed Pan Yan the Chinaman by the nurses.
